Megan
Hi, I’m Megan and I’m a yoga instructor specialising in mental health and other therapeutic practices. I am a born and bred Bristolian. I draw inspiration from my experience working as a therapist for mental health services, incorporating self-empowering language and intuitive movement to support overall health and wellness.
I am completely fascinated by human behaviour and how movement and other reflective practices can help shift mindset and contribute to overall health and wellness. I am also passionate about sharing yoga in its entirety, demonstrating all eight limbs, not just the physical asana. My approach to teaching is not ‘rigid perfection’, it’s guiding intuitive flows with plenty of options, meeting you where you’re at and encouraging you to feel into what your body and mind needs in the moment.
My top three priorities as a space-holder:
- Science-backed foundation in mental health and therapeutic practices (facilitating trauma and health sensitive yoga)
- A calm, clear and compassionate teaching voice (patient and clear descriptive language, so there’s no need to watch and copy, just listen and feel. Always an invitation, never a command)
- Community-focused (unity of self and with others, encouraging support network, and for all bodies and abilities)
